Question
Ladies of Tumblr, I need your help.
My daily “beauty” routine is very, very basic. Now, as it gets closer and closer to the day when all eyes and camera lenses will be on me and my face, I think I need some help. What should I be doing / using to ensure that I don’t look stressed, tired, or generally horrid in those pictures that are going to a) be expensive and b) be LIFE LONG MEMORIES?
I already am drinking tons of water, taking my vitamins, and using my Crest White Strips. WHAT AM I MISSING?

I might be the only person ever who hated the Clarisonic. Likely just my skin, but I’d caution against a big change in your skin care routine close to your wedding.

I would actually recommend NOT doing anything super different from what you’re doing now. Changing things up on your skin can be bad news bears right before your wedding. Do what already you do and you’ll look amazing.

get a good facial! The effects are amazing. my skin literally GLOWS and people tell me I am RADIANT when I get one. Make sure it’s at least a wk before the wedding if not earlier in case you break out at all (personally I do not, some ppl do)

for my face-i have a clarisonic & i moisturize every day. i do peel/mask once a week or every two - it helps exfoliate, soften & brighten my skin. i also use a sugar scrub from bath&body in the shower a few times a week to exfoliate legs, arms, etc.

A Clairsonic. It brightens your complexion and leaves your skin oh so soft. It’s perfect to use leading up to a big day, because your skin absorbs your moisturizer fully and your make up goes on seamlessly.

make sure you are getting enough SLEEP! And take a 10-15 mins everyday to do something for yourself NOT wedding related… read a chapter in a book, go for a walk, sit on your back porch. I call it “me” time!

i started using vitamin c serum, taking fish oil, and using a dry brush on my body before showering and my skin improved SO MUCH. also broke my no-dye lifestyle and got subtle highlights. sleep/exercise help but you knew that.

keep up with the water/exercise, reduce salt intake, eat more veggies. also, i’m not a huge beauty routine person either, but i am getting a pro to do my makeup on my wedding day. there are options for this that don’t have to be super expensive.

ahaha getting on the bride-to-be beauty bandwagon. wedding is 4/29! water and multi-vitamin here. any love of under-eye cream to remove my lovely dark circles? are the white strips working?

I love that all the brides to be are commenting on this. My wedding is 4/28. My recent addition has been putting night lotion on my neck in addition to my face and weekly face masks. Other than that I’m clueless.

Face lotion, exfoliate every week. Assuming you’re paying a makeup artist, you probably don’t need much more.

Lots of dark greens gives you a healthy glow, according to some fancy schmancy research. Also, I’m not as pale as I normally am this time of year sans tanning.

I got a clarisonic after Alishan’s rousing recommendation and I have to say in less than a week I feel like my skin is softer and pores are smaller. (and I don’t have bad skin - breakouts or anything).
