It’s been a long time since I’ve looked at my reflection in the mirror and said, “Damn, girl. I’m proud of you.”  But this morning, while brushing my teeth and thinking back on this past week, I finally allowed myself to feel that feeling. It was awesome.

This week was, in a word, productive. I’m finally starting to see little glimpses of light at the end of the tunnels. I’m starting to see results, things are panning out, and pieces are falling into place.

• Monday morning my trainer told me that he can see my body is starting to change, that I’m getting stronger. 
• Monday afternoon I had my first fitting for my reception party dress. It is going to be gorgeous.  It also has to be taken in at the waist. 
• Tuesday I dropped our wedding reception invitations off at the post office. I also felt like I dropped 1,000 pounds of stress. Finally. Wednesday I started to get texts and calls from loved ones who found them in their mailboxes.  So much excitement.
• Honeymoon in Paris tickets are booked.  (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
• I initiated a conversation with my boss and wheels are officially in motion. I put a path / proposal together and have the buy in and support I need from the people who sign off on these types of things.  Also, it looks like these changes are going to happen quickly.  Fine by me!
• I think (hope, pray) that I’ve finally let go of some of the pain I’ve been carrying around for a long time. I don’t know if I’m ready to use the word forgive, acceptance seems more appropriate.  But either way, it’s a nice to feel a little healed.

Now I’m ready to enjoy my weekend.
